Novu Shind'arr

[WIP: lore stuff goes here when i get around to thinking it up]

Definitely has a sibling that died in the Calamity, but he doesn't talk about it.
Left their tribe soon after the Calamity, dropping it from their name. Xe also swapped their surname with that of a character from a semi-popular book series xe read as a kid. If asked, he will deny this claim though (out of embarrassment).
A bit of a wanderer, not really knowing what they're doing or caring where they end up.

[WIP: still gathering my thoughts on Novu's relationships with other characters. Also this will have spoilers up through 5.55]

Alphinaud - Novu has definitely adopted this boy as his son/brother. They love to tease him, but are genuinely concerned about all the trauma and responsibility being piled on Alphinaud's shoulders (both by himself and others). Novu serves as one of those annoying older siblings that is always hyping you up

Alisaie - Novu has adopted her as well. Though he knows she doesn't need as much overt babysitting as her twin, Novu tries to offer a hand or ear when possible

Thancred - Honestly xe didn't think much of the man, until the Lahabrea incident. As Thancred was able to begin showing his actual personality again, Novu realized two things. One, Thancred is actually pretty personable and fun to talk to. Two, hoo boy does Thancred have trauma beyond even the whole Lahabrea thing! Novu has made it their personal mission to befriend and help him work through it. (Unfortunately,) Novu has learned a third thing about Thancred since finding him again: Thancred is hot?? Novu spent some time trying to wrestle with that realization. It wasn't until the events in the First, watching Thancred's interactions with Ryne and Urianger, that Novu was able to place exactly how they feel about Thancred. Yes, Thancred is hot. But he's also experienced trauma that is very recognizable to Novu and watching Thancred healing from that really helped encourage Novu to do the same

Urianger - Novu's first impression of Urianger was, "gods, this man talks a lot to say next-to nothing." Xe still thinks that every word out of his mouth is needlessly complicated and a little obnoxious (literally no one else talks like that. Where did you learn that? Did you only start doing it because you thought it'd be cool/quirky?? Well, please stop). After Urianger's (temporary) betrayal during the WoD incident, he is on the THINNEST fucking ice with Novu. During the events in the First, Novu was unsurprised by the reveal that Urianger had lied. They merely sighed and shook their head. Some of the Scions that stood closest to him during the moment, even claim to have heard a muttered "Good ol' Urianger." Urianger swears that he had noted a blink-and-you-miss-it smile on Novu's face during this moment, but would never tell anyone else; This is a secret between him and the WoL

Estinien - Novu tried so hard to not be annoyed and/or hate Estinien throughout their attempted diplomatic mission, but he made it really fucking hard. Estinien's "teasing" of Alphinaud that hit the boy harder than he let on and the constant bad faith squabbles with Ysayle, tested the absolute limits of their patience. Slowly however, Novu began to sense that perhaps he'd underestimated the effect Nidhogg's eye was having and became concerned. This concern came too late to prevent the incident with Nidhogg 2.0 though and Novu heavily regrets it, blaming themself. Novu was glad to see Estinien again after returning the Scions to the Source and looks forward to working with him in a future, as a friend

Ysayle - I just miss her, bro...

Krile - Loves talking with her for stories about the twins and her very good opinions

Minfilia - That was my sister friend! I miss her!!!

Aymeric - Haha...what are we, bro? Are we dating? Just friends?? Aymeric, please answer me

Haurchefant - I just miss him, bro...

Ryne - Novu views her as a niece and is one of the proudest of how far she has come (though xe is beat out by Thancred and Urianger for obvious reasons)

G'raha - [I gotta write more details about it!!!! But suffice to say, this is my cat husband!]
